Registration Opens October 15!
Get ready for the 2027 SFMA Conference & Exhibition, February 1-4 in Tampa, Florida! Registration officially opens next week on October 15, and this year’s conference will feature new learning experiences, industry connections, and opportunities designed to bring sports field management education to life.

Seeds to Success: Essential and Advanced Turfgrass Education
Get a head start on your conference education with three dynamic Pre-Conference Education sessions designed to strengthen both your technical knowledge and leadership skills.
Learn turfgrass nutrition and sustainable fertilizer practices with A.J. Lindsey, Ph.D. (Fertilizer 101) explore practical strategies for developing and managing operating budgets with Cliff Driver, CSFM, and Matthew Coates (Managing Operating Budgets: Development and Tracking for Parks and Recreation Professionals), and discover how to identify and develop leaders from within your crew with Holly Kasperbauer and Nick McKenna, CSFM, CPTM (Grow Your Crew: Developing Leaders from Within).
From healthier fields and smarter financial decisions to stronger teams, these sessions offer practical strategies you can take back and put to work right away. Lunch will be provided!
NEW for 2027: SFMA Live Learning Demonstrations
We’re bringing education out of the classroom with the inaugural SFMA Live Learning Demonstrations!
Outdoor Demonstrations | Monday, February 1
The outdoor experience will take place at the University of South Florida. Transportation from the Tampa Convention Center will be provided.
Indoor Demonstrations | During Trade Show Hours
Live Learning continues on the trade show floor, giving attendees additional opportunities to experience products, equipment, techniques, and solutions in action.
These immersive demonstrations will allow you to engage directly with industry experts and leading manufacturers while exploring practical solutions and technologies that can enhance sports field safety, quality, and performance.

Conference Hotel Reservations – Please Book Through SFMA
After completing your conference registration, you will receive a confirmation email containing the official reservation links for the conference hotels.
Hotel Reservations
SFMA has secured a designated room block at contracted rates for the 2027 SFMA Conference & Exhibition. We encourage you to reserve your hotel room through the official SFMA room block to take advantage of the negotiated SFMA hotel rate and support the conference.
Hotel reservation links will be provided in your conference registration confirmation email.
If you choose to book your hotel accommodations through a third-party reservation site (such as Expedia, Booking.com, or another online travel agency), SFMA cannot guarantee the contracted SFMA rate and will not be able to assist with reservation issues, changes, cancellations, or other concerns that may arise during your stay. For the best experience, we strongly recommend booking directly through the official SFMA hotel reservation links.
